Description
These Claddagh Knot cufflinks are a truly unique design exclusively available from Arnua. I created this design by combining two of the most iconic symbols of Irish heritage, the Claddagh and the Celtic Knot. TheCufflinks consist of a Celtic Knot crafted into the shape of a Claddagh, hence the name 'The Claddagh Knot'.
About the Design
These cufflinks are inspired by the Celtic Trinity Knot (also known as the Triquetra). Constructed of one continuous line interweaving around itself the Trinity, throughout time has come to represent different meanings to people and faiths.
The Celts believed the most important things came in threes; three domains (earth, sea and sky). three elements, three stages of life. It is also possible that to the Celts the Triquetra signified the lunar and solar phases. Trinity knot symbols have been found alongside solar and lunar symbols.
In the Christian faith, the three points of the Celtic Trinity knot represent the Holy Trinity of Father, Son and Holy.
The modern era has brought new meaning to the Trinity knot / Triquetra. It is now said to represent the three promises of a relationship; love, honour and protect.
You can choose what this ancient Celtic symbol means to you, with these Irish handmade Trinity knot cufflinks.
Where is it made?
Each pair of cufflinks is individually made to order in my workshop in Dublin, Ireland. By making each one to order I can ensure you get a quality piece made with the most intricate detail. Each one is hallmarked in the Irish assay office in Dublin castle.
