Lunula Silver Celtic Cuff Links
The Lunula is probably one of the lesser known Irish designs but are amongst the the first gold jewelry to be made in Ireland. Dating as far back as 2000 B.C., similar to the torc these pieces were worn as a neck collar. The inspiration for these Lunula silver Celtic cuff links comes from these magnificent artefacts.
The word lunula comes from the Latin for ‘little moon’ named from the crescent moon shape of the design. These cuff links are a contemporary twist on the traditional Lunula design.
These Sterling silver Celtic cuff links are handmade in my workshop in Dublin, Ireland. The Lunula has a domed profile with a polished finish, the cuff link fittings are heavyweight spring loaded barrel fittings.
Bears the full hallmark from the Irish assay office in Dublin castle.
